Asia: found in Central China and Tibet

Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

  • C. w. waltoni from southeast Tibet to southwest China (southwest Xinjiang)
  • C. w. eos in central China and Tibet

waltoni was included in Chinese Beautiful Rosefinch by some authorities in the past. The scientific name of Pink-rumped Rosefinch was Carpodacus eos then.
