Identification

15cm. White, green and bronze, blue crest feathers, brilliant turquoise gorget and black line on white underparts feathers.

Peru

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species. The Marvellous Spatuletail was discovered in 1835 by bird collector Andrew Matthews for George Loddiges.
