Identification
21–22 cm (8¼-8¼ in)
- Dark blue-grey head and hind neck
- Pale blue forehead
Female has a contrasting grey cap
Distribution
Lowlands of southern Thailand, Malay Peninsula and Greater Sundas
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
More commonly seen in lowlands and foothills up to 1400 m. Forests, parks and gardens.
Behaviour
Diet
They are usually observed in small flocks. Their diet consists almost entirely of fruit, particularly figs, but there is little more information available.
