- Southeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (headwaters of the Lualaba River, Katanga)
- P. k. katangae:
- Spottily distributed in northern Zambia and immediately adjacent southeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

Wetlands and adjacent areas.
