Phylloscopus ibericus

Distribution

Found mainly in Spain and Portugal. A small population in adjacent SW France and in the Rift Mountains in Morocco also exist.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

• P. i. biscayensis in N Portugal, N Spain and France
• P. i. ibericus in C and S Portugal and SW Spain

Has been considered conspecific with Common Chiffchaff in the past.
