South-east Asia: found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

- P. p. praedicta:
- North-western New Guinea (Wandammen Mountains)
- P. p. incerta:
- Mountains of west-central New Guinea
- P. p. perstriata:
- Mountains of central and eastern New Guinea
Habitat
Moist montanes.
