- Mouse-grey crown and upper-wing coverts
Distribution
Pohnpei and Kosrae Islands, Pacific.
Taxonomy
Has been considered conspecific with Dusky White-eye.
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- Z. c. ponapensis:
- Pohnpei (east Caroline Islands) - split as Zosterops ponapensis and named Grey-brown White-eye by Gill and Donsker
- Z. c. cinereus:
- Kosrae (east Caroline Islands) - split as Zosterops cinereus and named Kosrae White-eye by Gill and Donsker
Habitat
Well vegetated areas, including gardens.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of insects, small berries and seeds.
