Identification

43cm.

  • Dark iridescent turquoise above
  • Pale grey below
  • Pale grey head and neck
  • Rufous undertail coverts

Distribution

Wallacea Islands, Aru Islands and off western New Guinea.

Taxonomy

There are 2 subspecies.

Habitat

Monsoon rainforest.

Behaviour

The diet includes fruit.
