Smaller than Brown Cuckoo-Dove

Distribution

Southeast Asia: found in Indonesia, Greater Sundas, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Lesser Sundas, West Timor, Moluccas, Tanimbar Islands and East Timor.

Subspecies[1]

There are 4 subspecies:

  • M. m. macassariensis:
  • South-western Sulawesi, Tanakeke and Salayar islands
  • M. m. longa:
  • M. m. magna:
  • Timor, Wetar and adjacent eastern Lesser Sundas
  • M. m. timorlaoensis:
  • Tanimbar Islands (Yamdena, Larat and Selaru)
