Identification
These 15 cm long birds have light yellow underparts and olive upperparts; they have a light eye ring, pink legs, a long tail, pale wing bars and a thin pointed bill. Males have a grey hood; female and immatures are more brown and have a whitish throat.
Distribution
Connecticut Warblers breed primarily in central Canada and winter in South America. They have an unusal migration pattern, moving north through the center of North America in spring and south along the Atlantic coast in the fall.
