Genus: Podoces
Description
Four species of Ground-Jays from Asia. They have relatively long legs and run very well. They also tend to hold their body in a horizontal posture.
Taxonomy
Podoces is a genus in the family Corvidae.
The Tibetan Ground-Jay was usually included in this genus. New research has shown that this species is in fact a tit.
The Piapiac seems to be closely related to this group.
