Identification

70 cm. Black plumage, floppy crest, blue bare skin round eye and on throat, grey brown tail with wide terminal black bar, black feet; male - red iris, black bill; female black iris, white bill.

Distribution

Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Thailand.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Moist lowland forest.

Behaviour

The diet includes fruit and insects.
