Distribution
Southeast Asia: found in Indochina, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Malay Peninsula, Brunei, Borneo, Indonesia, Greater Sundas, Sumatra and Sulawesi
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 5 subspecies[1]:
- M. t. tukki:
- Southern Burma, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, northern Borneo and adjacent islands
- M. t. percnerpes:
- Southern Borneo
- M. t. batu:
- Batu Islands (off western Sumatra)
- M. t. pulonis:
- Banggi Island (off northern Borneo)
- M. t. infuscatus:
- Nias Island (off north-western Sumatra)
Habitat
Broadleaved evergreen forest and lowland rainforest, up to 1100m.
