Identification
40cm. Central African form of round-crested, green Turaco. Differs from similar Guinea Turaco by all white tips to crest, less yellowish green foreparts ( more emerald ), slight blueish tinge to the rear upperparts, broader black lores and eyestripes making the "face" look somewhat dusky in comparison. Blue wing coverts All black bill.
emini subspecies has greener upperparts and a green ( not black ) rump.

Western Africa: Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania

It builds a platform nest from twigs. The 2 eggs are incubated by both adults.
