Identification

  • Bill: black, very long and decurved
  • Upper-parts: olive-brown
  • Black head and nape with white streaks
  • Chestnut-rufous wings and tail,
  • Throat: whitish

Distribution

Paraguay and Argentina.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Atlantic Rain Forest and secondary woodland, often associated with stands of bamboo.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects.
