Identification
27 cm. Light blue bare face skin and whitish wattles, black crown, lores, cheeks, and throat, white brow stripe, broad white streaks at side of throat, grey underparts, brownish belly and undertail.
Distribution
New Guinea and Indonesia.

Habitat
Mountain rainforests, and shrubbery in subalpine grasslands.
Behaviour
The diet includes nectar, arthropods, and some fruit.
Its deep cup-shaped nest is made of moss, twigs, and hairs from the fronds of tree ferns.
