Similar to Blue-tailed Bee-eater but note blue supercilium. The color is pure green on the vent and undertail-coverts. It has a yellow chin, chestnut throat and green crown. Distinctly larger than (Little) Green Bee-eater. Found in open areas, near water bodies and also near the coast line.
