Identification
Brown, brownish streaked throat, greyish underparts, yellow eye ring, brown eye, yellow bill.
Naming
Note: Easily confused with the South American Turdus nudigenis which sometimes also is called the Bare-eyed Thrush.
Distribution
Eastern Africa: found in the arid lowlands of Ethiopia and Somalia to Kenya and north-eastern Tanzania

Habitat
Arid lowlands, agricultural fields, dry savanna and dry shrubland.
Behaviour
The diet includes fruit.
