Identification

Male
- Greyish-brown forehead, nape and upperparts
- Red lores and eyestripe
Distribution
Middle East: found in the south-western Arabian peninsula in Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Foothills and lowlands, plains, wadis and valleys, rocky hillsides with thick scrub and trees, reeds and weedy thickets.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of small seeds from grass, sedges, cereals and herbs etc.
