Identification

14 cm

  • Mainly black with bluish-green gloss
  • Green back
  • Red eye, with a pink eye ring
  • Broad orangey- red bill
  • Square tail

Western Africa: found in Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Zaire; winters in coastal Gabon
