Identification

Dull hummingbird, decurved black bill, white postocular spot, diamond pattern on under-tail coverts, white at the base of the legs and coppery sheen on the back.

Distribution

Brazil

Taxonomy

Some authorities1 place this species in the genus Campylopterus.

This species is monotypic.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.
