Nothoprocta curvirostris

Identification

Dark brown above streaked with white and spotted with black. Breast rufous spotted with white, belly tawny-buff. Crown blackish, sides of head, throat and foreneck whitish. Legs dull orange. Length 28cm.

Distribution

Central Ecuador to central Peru. Resident.

Taxonomy

Curve-billed Tinamou Nothoprocta curvirostris. Subspecies Nominate race is found in Ecuador and peruviana in Peru.

Habitat

Open woodland.
