Distribution

Indonesia.

Taxonomy

Loetoe Monarch may be included (was formerly lumped) in this species. Formerly placed in genus Monarcha.

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies [1]:

  • S. t. buruensis: Buru (Moluccas)
  • S. t. pileatus: Halmahera (Moluccas)

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.
