Identification

Distribution

Found on several islands in the Lesser Sundas and Moluccas, Indonesia.

Taxonomy

Five subspecies recognized:

  • G. d. senex on Kalaotoa and Madu Islands
  • G. d. keyensis on Tayandu and Kai Islands
  • G. d. fulvescens in the Lesser Sundas (Moa, Kisar, Leti, Sermata, Babar and Romang)
  • G. d. kuehni on Damar Island
  • G. d. dorsalis on Tanimbar Islands

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and mangrove forests.
