Halmahera and other islands in the northern Moluccas, Indonesia.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies [1] which may be best tested as separate species [2]:
- Z. a. dehaani: "Morotai White-eye". Morotai
- Z. a. fuscifrons: "Halmahera White-eye". Halmahera
- Z. a. atriceps: "Bacan White-eye".
The population on Obi belongs to an undescribed (sub)species.
Habitat
Lowland Forest.
