Found in Java, Timor and Alor (eastern Lesser Sundas), in Indonesia.
Taxonomy
It was formerly considered a subspecies of Russet Bush Warbler.
Formerly placed in genus Bradypterus.

- L. m. montis
- Mountains of eastern Java
- L. m. timorensis
- Mountains of Timor and Alor (eastern Lesser Sundas)
