Distribution

Found in Java, Timor and Alor (eastern Lesser Sundas), in Indonesia.

Taxonomy

It was formerly considered a subspecies of Russet Bush Warbler.
Formerly placed in genus Bradypterus.

Subspecies

Two subspecies are recognized[1]

  • L. m. montis
    • Mountains of eastern Java
  • L. m. timorensis
    • Mountains of Timor and Alor (eastern Lesser Sundas)
