Identification
14 cm (5½ in)
- Black crown
- Greyish flecked forehead
- Grey upperparts with black flecks
- White interscapular patch (usually concealed)
Distribution
South America: found in the plateau region of central and eastern Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
They prefer the understorey of deciduous forest, especially with vines.
Behaviour
Diet
There is little information available. Their main diet consists of insects, larvae, kaydids, grasshoppers and mantids.
