Description
Taxonomy
Peucaea if recognized would be a genus in the family Emberizidae. All members have until recently been placed in genus Aimophila but AOU have now moved them; the opus is awaiting the position of the world-wide checklists before following along.
The species represented here would be: Cinnamon-tailed Sparrow, Rufous-winged Sparrow, Stripe-headed Sparrow, Black-chested Sparrow, Bridled Sparrow, Botteri's Sparrow, Cassin's Sparrow, and Bachman's Sparrow.
