Similar Species

Grey-headed Sparrow.

Distribution

East central Africa.

Taxonomy

Considered by some authorities to be a type of Grey-headed Sparrow. However, Sibley & Monroe (1993, 1996), Clements (2005, 2007) and Gill & Wright (2006, 2007) consider Passer gongonensis to be a separate species (Lepage, 2007).
