East Africa: Uganda, Kenya to eastern Tanzania
Taxonomy
There are 3 subspecies:
- B. m. musicus (feminina, pallidiventris):
- Sierra Leone to northern Angola, Zaire, Uganda and north-western Tanzania
- B. m. changamwensis:
- B. m. clarens:
- Southern Malawi to eastern Zimbabwe and Mozambique
Habitat
Dry and moist lowland forests and moist montanes.
