Myrmotherula urosticta

Identification

9.5 cm.
Male:

  • Plumbeous
  • Black wings
  • Two white wing-bars
  • Black tail with broad white terminal band
  • Underparts paler
  • Black bib

Female: similar

  • Paler above
  • Grey wings with whitish wing-bars
  • Creamy-buff underparts
  • Whitish on throat
  • Greyish flanks.

Distribution

South America: found in coastal south-eastern Brazil (central Bahia to northern Rio de Janeiro)

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.
