Identification

About 35 cm = 13-14 inches. Black tail, olive-brown wings, mostly rufous in rest of plumage, gray in bare parts of head with dark, large bill.

Distribution

Venezuela, the Guianas, and Brazil1.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.

Habitat

Forest on non-swampy ground.
