Identification

Distribution

Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zambia.

Taxonomy

The subspecies poensis from Bioko is sometimes considered a full species, Alexander's Akalat.

Habitat

Boreal forests, swamps, and moist montanes.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects.
