Taxonomy

Estrilda quartinia has four subspecies:2

  • E. q. bocagei
  • E. q. quartinia
  • E. q. kilimensis
  • E. q. stuartirwini

This taxon is lumped with Swee Waxbill E. melanotis by some authorities.1
