Identification
26-28cm. Male - pure white, turquoise bare area round the eye, and large throat patch, bare throat has narrow black bristles. Female - smaller, olive above, blackish head and black throat, pale yellow below with broad olive streaks.
Distribution
Eastern Brazil, eastern Paraguay and northern Argentina.

Monotypic.
Habitat
Canopy and borders of Atlantic Rain Forest.
Behaviour
The diet includes fruit.
It builds a shallow nest on open branches. 1-2 oval and reddish brown, with dark spots at the rounder end, eggs are laid. Females care for the young alone.
