Identification
Medium sized passerine, black mask extending from forehead to ear coverts bordered above by a narrow white line. Crown, nape and upper mantle grey contrasting with the bright olive remaining upperparts and tail. Throat pure white with or without round maroon patch in centre. White throat often bordered with thin black line broadening at bottom centre like a necklace though this is absent in some birds. Underparts grey becoming yellowish-olive on lower belly and into a yellow vent. Bill black, legs dark grey to bluish-black.
