Noted site on the coastal road between Petra and Molivos on the Greek Island of Lesvos. Identification: Black headed (male) and grey sylvia warbler. Bill slightly hooked. Similar in size and appearance to the more common sardinian warbler, except male white moustachial stripe and black throat. Female in season has spotted breast recalling Cyprus warbler. Distinctive red eye ring. Song: Similar to that of other sylvia warblers.
