Identification

44-46cm. Black plumage, upperparts dull purple, long black tail, black-dark brown belly and underparts, yellow iris, black bill, legs and feet. Juvenile - darker and duller than adult, some birds rufous.

Distribution

Biak Island, Indonesia.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.

Behaviour

Terrestrial.
