Site Information
There is absolutely no swimming allowed in the quarry. Also, visitors enter the ocean at their own risk: the coastline is very hazardous.
History and Use
The site of the park is the former Babson Farm granite quarry. The Visitor Center is an old fire control tower that was used in WWII.
Areas of Interest
The Town of Rockport owns property adjacent to Halibut Point called Sea Rocks, which is open for public use.
Access and Facilities
Halibut Point has a parking lot, visitor center, and restrooms.
