Identification

Distribution

Colombian endemic. Patchily distributed in the West Andes through Cauca, Valle del Cauca, Chocó, Risalralda, and Antióquia Departments. As well it can be found in the Central Andes though the Coffee Region (Quindio, Risalralda, Caldas). Once the most highly sought after species in Colombia. Most easily found in the cloud forest of El 18 above Cali, Valle del Cauca.
