Identification
32 cm (12½ in)
- Broad white forehead
- Black and white body
Distrubtuion
South America: found in South West Argentina (western Santa Cruz); winter range unknown.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Upland lakes. Occurs at heights around 500–1200 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of small invertebrates and large snails.
