Bias flammulatus

Identification

Male - black head, back and tail, white underparts. Female - brown back, grey/brown head and posterior neck and white underparts with brown stripes.

Distribution

Africa.

Taxonomy

Megabyas flammulatus has 2 subspecies

  • Megabyas flammulatus flammulatus
  • Megabyas flammulatus aequatorialis

Megabyas flammulatus carolathi

Habitat

Dry and moist lowland forests.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects.
