Alternate common names: Baillon's Toucan, Baillon's Toucanet, Banana Toucan, Banana Toucanet
Identification
35-40 cm. Saffron yellow with darker back and tail, more olive in colour. The rump, ocular skin and patches on the basal half of the otherwise green-horn bill are red. The iris is pale yellow.
Distribution
Eastern Argentina, south-eastern Brazil, and eastern Paraguay.

Rainforest.
Behaviour
The diet includes fruit, and insects during the breeding season.
3-4 pure white, elliptical shaped eggs, are laid and incubated for 16 days. The young fledge at 40-42 days.
