Identification

37cm. Black, facial wattles of yellow, red and sky-blue near base of the bill. Both sexes are similar with a slightly duller and smaller female.

Distribution

New Guinea.

Taxonomy

Either monotypic or with subspecies carunculata and intermedia depending on authority.
