-The three 'elepaio subspecies are:
-* Kauai `Elepaio: Chasiempis sandwichensis sclateri.
-* Oahu `Elepaio: Chasiempis sandwichensis gayi.
-* Hawaii `Elepaio: Chasiempis sandwichensis sandwichensis.
-There are several varieties of the Hawai'i island subspecies, it sometimes being split into three races (sandwichensis, bryani and ridgewayi)
