Overview
There is problem with Miconia calvescens. Birdlife is very rare, but there are some interesting birds. Sandy beaches are very rare, but spectacular mountains views especielly near ferry point, Opohune bay and Cook bay. There are nice coral reefs.

In Opohune Bay, in front of the supermarket, breeded Brown Noddy in the palm trees (november) Brown Booby and Frigate Bird, I saw from ferry Papeete - Moorea.
There are nice walks from viewpoint Bellevue ( means good view ). I saw Gray Green Fruit dove, only few meters in the rainforest. Pycnonotus cafer appear sometimes.
I saw introduced birds like Chested-breasted Mannikin and very often Common Mynah.

Price level is extremely high. Accomodation are very rare and very expensive. Most of them located on the round island coast street. There are 3 camping places.
