Norway

Overview

Just to the south of Femundsmarka is the smaller Gutulia National Park an area of pine forest, marshes and small lakes with glacier-formed ridges and depressions in the west. Most of the park is between 600 and 900m and although plentiful, the flora and fauna are not particularly varied.

Birds

Notable Species

Raptors include breeding Northern Goshawk, Eurasian Sparrowhawk and Merlin with visiting Golden Eagle and Osprey. In the wetter areas there are Common Teal, Greenshank, Golden Plover and Wood Sandpiper. The forested areas have Common Redstart, Tree Pipit, Willow Warbler and Brambling.
