- Glossy black overall plumage
- Black upper breast with yellow spots above
Distribution
Africa: found from Sierra Leone to South Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, and and western Kenya.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
Clements recognizes these subspecies[1]:
- B. d. duchaillui: southeast Nigeria to Kenya
- B. d. dowsetti: Sierra Leone to southern Ghana
Habitat
Old secondary forests, clearings and forest edges.
Behaviour
Diet
They eat a variety of small fruits.
