- upperside green with a few yellow specks on the back
- forehead olive-yellow
- auriculars yellow with bases of lower feathers green giving a barred effect towards chin
- crown brownish-yellow
- throat and breast yellow with dark green scalloping
- wings green (without yellow spots); primaries darker
- flanks to undertail coverts yellow-green
- underwing coverts yellow-green
- bill reddish orange
- eye-ring blueish
- eye red
Distribution
Sulawesi endemic. South East Asia: Indonesia: Greater Sundas.
Taxonomy
Formerly included in "Yellow-and-green Lorikeet" together with Sula Lorikeet.
Formerly placed in genus Trichoglossus.
Subspecies
This is a monotypic species [1].
Habitat
Forests mostly in hilly areas but can occur both higher and lower elevation; sometimes seen in more open areas.
Behaviour
Mostly seen in flocks when searching for flowering trees.

Their natural diet consists of blossoms, particularly from Erythrina and Euphorbia.
