Taxonomy
This is a polytypic species[1] consisting of 2 subspecies.
Subspecies
- L. a. alfredi:
- Western Ethiopia to western Uganda and western Democratic Republic of Congo
- L. a. kungwensis:
Habitat
Varied habitat, mostly areas with bamboo, forests and forest edges, tall grass and dense scrub, at heights up to 2300 m.
